About Kevin


Kevin lives between Angus and other lands. He studied English Literature at the University of Dundee and worked as a full-time librarian for nine years. He is now a teacher of English language. He is the founding creator of the online multimedia collaborations >erasure, >erasure ii and Wordless, an image and text collaboration with George Szirtes published by Knives, Forks and Spoons Press. He’s also the editor of Nutshells and Nuggets, a blogzine for short poems. His poetry can be found in various online and printed journals: The Interpreter’s House, Under the Radar, Seagate III,  A Bees Breakfast, Ink, Sweat and Tears, Domestic Cherry, And Other Poems, The Open Mouse, Pushing Out the Boat, The Stare’s Nest and The Poetry Bus. His first chapbook, Body Voices, was published by Crisis Chronicles Press  in February 2013 and short listed for the Saboteur Awards 2013: Best Poetry Pamphlet. Burdlife; a sequence of 12 unusual wee poems inspired by Scottish birdsong and Ivor Cutler, was published by Tapsalteerie in June 2017.
