For now – a ‘sma buik’
I’m more than pleased to announce the publication of ‘For now’ (a ‘collection’ of 12 wee poems that were written while trying to cope with the death of my mum) by Poems-For-All, thanks to Robert Hansen. In line with the format and ethos of PfA ‘For now’ will come in the form of a ‘sma buik’ and not be for sale, it will be ‘scattered like seeds’ hither and yon for you to find. You never know where you might find it, wedged between books on the bookshelves of a bookshop or library, at poetry events or festivals, left on a cafe table or even arrive unexpectedly through your letterbox.
Alongside the ‘sma buik’ one poem from the ‘collection’ will be published in a corollary effort to the Poems-For-All project. It’s called ‘The Edinburgh Inch’. Each edition of The Edinburgh Inch is a card (4.5cm x 5cm) featuring art work on the front, a poem on the back. These too, will be ‘scattered like seeds’.
I can’t thank Robert enough for contacting me with his request to publish my work. I fully support the work he does, which started in his small used bookstore in Sacramento 17 years ago.
